Sci-Hub is a symptom, and attacking it does not address the underlying malaise. IEEE wants to be a monopolist who extracts cash from all who touch her wares. Copyright is merely a mechanism for that. Rather than rant about respect for the law, we should talk about our mission to advance humanity and whether unrealistic pricing loses sight of that goal.
